What a TXT file cannot keep
- Text comes in the order it is stored in the PDF; columns and reading order may differ from what you see.
- Tables become plain lines; cell borders and alignment are lost.
- Spaces and line breaks are approximated.
- Characters depend on the font information in the PDF and can be wrong or missing.
Your file stays in this browser
- The PDF is read and processed by this page on your device. It is not uploaded to a server.
- No file name, file content or extracted text is sent anywhere or recorded in statistics.
- Keep an internet connection while using these tools: program files and font data may need to load when you open a PDF. This does not upload your PDF.
- If site statistics are enabled, page visits and tool result or error categories may be recorded. Page statistics may use Cloudflare. The tool statistics exclude file names, PDF contents and extracted text.
