About us

Short answer: EnjoyPDF is Windows desktop software focused on correcting text in scans, batch replacement and secure redaction. We believe tools for sensitive documents should run on your own computer, use the network as little as possible, and show that every change is correct.

Why we built this software

Translation companies need to put translations back into client scans. Law firms need to remove parties’ ID numbers before sending files out. Finance and HR teams need to correct hundreds of internal records consistently. This work has three things in common: the files are scans, the content is sensitive, and mistakes are costly.

General PDF editors are good at editing, but they reflow the whole page when working on scans. Online tools are convenient, but they require uploading files. We wanted a tool that changes only the characters that need changing, keeps the file on your computer, and lets you check every change.

Our principles

  1. Documents stay on your computer by default: Document processing does not go online. The only feature that sends document text out is cloud AI translation, and only when you choose it. All network activity, including planned features, is listed in Network behavior.
  2. Show that it was done right: Read-back verification, residue checks and the operation record (manifest.json) make results reviewable.
  3. Publish measured results: Measured results for scans in each language are published in the language support matrix, including languages that are not usable.
  4. Refuse improper use: The software does not edit certified copies or officially issued documents in place, and this rule cannot be turned off. See Risk controls.
